By the end of the course learners will be able to:

  • Identify what information is needed to plan a New Product Development project in the food industry scenario
  • Plan and execute a New Product Development project, incorporating previous experience and lessons learned from other new product development processes in the food industry,
  • Apply project management tools to the New Product Development process.

Project Management in New Product Development

By the end of the course learners will be able to:

  • Choose appropriate tools to facilitate idea generation and screening,
  • Develop skills to build concepts based on the persona approach,
  • Apply techniques that facilitate consumer-centric co-creation to assess current challenges and envision future sustainability solutions within the food industry,
  • Comprehend and apply the principles of design thinking in NPD to implement innovative responses.
